WHAT IS ADAPTIL?

Adaptil is a dog appeasing pheromone range of products for dogs and puppies made by Ceva. Mother dogs communicate with their puppies through natural chemical signals or pheromones. These pheromones are scientifically called Dog Appeasing Pheromones. These pheromones are odourless messages and are only perceived by dogs, not cats or people. Adaptil replicates these pheromones, providing comfort and security to dogs of all ages. This can help dogs and puppies to feel reassured and relaxed in challenging situations, reducing signs of stress and anxiety.

Adaptil can help puppies to feel as comforted and secure with their new family as they did with their mother. Adaptil may promote better socialisation and learning to help puppies develop skills required to become confident, well-adjusted adults. Also reassuring for adult dogs, the dog appeasing pheromones in Adaptil helps dogs feel reassured and relaxed in challenging situations or deal with ongoing anxiety issues.

ADAPTIL DIFFUSER & ADAPTIL REFILLS:

The Adaptil Diffuser plugs into an electrical plug socket and has a 48ml vial of the dog appeasing pheromone which diffuses into the air automatically and lasts up to 30 days. Leave the Adaptil Diffuser switched on continuously. One Adaptil Diffuser can cover an area of up to 70m2. You can buy separate replacement Adaptil refills for the Adaptil Diffuser and these will need to be changed over each month of continuous use. You can move the diffuser around to different plug sockets in the house too so that you can place it where your dog spends most time at different parts of the day. Adaptil Diffusers have been in use for a long time.

ADAPTIL SPRAY:

The Adaptil Spray comes in a 60ml spray bottle that can easily be taken out of the home and transported. The Adaptil Spray offers comfort and reassurance by providing dog appeasing pheromones for dogs whilst on the move, travelling or, visits to the vet etc.

Adaptil Spray helps reduce signs of stress or fear such as panting, trembling and restlessness during travel. During car journeys or when going to the vet, spray directly in your car or in your dog’s carrier. Wait 15 minutes before letting your back into the car. During long car journeys re-spray the Adaptil spray every 1.5-2 hours. Adaptil Spray is for short term use. It does not last for long periods of time.

Adaptil Collar "Calm On-The-Go Collar"

The Adaptil Collar has the dog appeasing pheromones impregnated into the collar so that the Adaptil can be used outside of the home. The Adaptil Collar is a good solution to keep your dog comforted and reassured outdoors and on the go, in situations where loud noises, training, boarding and other fears could occur.

The Adaptil Collar can provide constant reassurance to your dog. Leave the Adaptil collar on your dog continuously for one month (except during shampooing and swimming in swimming pools). One Adaptil Collar provides 4 weeks of constant support.

Adaptil collars are a newer product made by Ceva and have not been in use for as long as the Adaptil Diffusers.
