WHAT IS FELIWAY?

  • Feliway is a pheromone for cats range of products made by Ceva.

  • Feliway is a synthetic copy of the Feline Facial Pheromone.

  • This is the pheromone that cats leave naturally when they feel safe and secure in their environment.

  • Feliway comforts cats at home and helps to reduce stress.

  • Stress can cause behavioural symptoms such as urine spraying, scratching, aggression or hiding.

  • Feliway can assist, but it is necessary to address the underlying reason/causes why your cat feels stressed to resolve the problem behaviours entirely.

  • Feliway comes as a diffuser or a spray.

  • To assist with chronic stress-related issues, use the diffuser.

  • Leave it on continuously in the home.

  • Veterinary clinics and cat boarding kennels have them running 24/7 for example.

  • The diffuser can be moved around to different rooms.

  • The spray is only useful for short-term stress episodes such as car travel, visits to the vet, new pet or occurrences.​

FELIWAY DIFFUSER & FELIWAY REFILLS:

  • The Feliway Diffuser plugs into an electrical plug socket.

  • One Feliway Diffuser covers an area of up to 70m2.

  • Move the diffuser around to different plug sockets - where your cat spends more time throughout the day / night.

  • It has a 48ml vial of the cat appeasing pheromone which diffuses into the air automatically 

  • You buy separate replacement Feliway refills for the Feliway Diffuser.

  • Each refill will last for one month of continuous use.

FELIWAY SPRAY:

  • The Feliway Spray comes in a 60ml spray bottle.

  • Feliway Spray is for short-term use, i.e. the effects don't last long.

  • It can be taken out of the home and transported.

  • The Feliway Spray offers comfort and reassurance by providing pheromones for cats whilst on the move, travelling or visiting the vet, etc.

  • During car journeys or when going to the vet, spray directly in your cat's carrier.

  • Wait 15 minutes before letting your cat near any sprayed areas.

  • During car journeys re-spray the Feliway spray every 4-5 hours.  

  • Feliway Spray can also be used in the home for targeted management of any areas urine marked by your cat, or where they scratch.

  • For areas already scratched or urine marked, clean marked areas thoroughly, once dry, apply the Feliway Spray.

  • You can use Feliway spray on doorways, window sills and prominent objects around the house.

  • Do not use Feliway Spray on a scratching post because it might prevent your cat from using it.
